Assistant Managers (Hotel & Bistro) - Australia-wide

The role:

• Responsible for supporting the Venue/Hotel Managers in the smooth operation of the venue
• Use your initiative and experience to support and grow the business to meet market demands.

The successful applicant will be energetic, and enthusiastic and will need to have:

• current RSA and RSG, vaccination certificate and First-aid certificate.
• at least 3 years of experience in hospitality management, including an understanding of BOH systems and procedures.

Preferred applicants will have the following experience:

Café and Restaurant (Bistro) Managers

• organise and control the operations of cafes, restaurants and related establishments to provide dining and catering services.
• plan menus in consultation with Chefs
• plan and organise special functions
• arrange the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
• maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions
• ensure dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
• confer with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
• select, train and supervise waiting and kitchen staff
• may take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders

Hotel Manager

• organise and control the operations of a hotel or motel to provide guest accommodation, meals and other services.
• direct and oversee reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities
• supervise security arrangements, and garden and property maintenance
• plan and supervise bar, restaurant, function and conference activities
• observe liquor, gaming, and other laws and regulations
• assess and review customer satisfaction
• oversee accounting and purchasing activities
• ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• may provide guests with local tourism information, and arrange tours and transportation
